The metaverse is a collective virtual shared space that encompasses and transcends physical, digital, and augmented realities.
It brings more emotion, connection, empathy, and togetherness to our collective experience of life. It enables us to interact with each other and our environment in new and immersive ways. It also creates new opportunities for creativity, innovation, entertainment, education, and commerce.
Finland is the first European nation to make a Metaverse Initiative, and one of the first globally. In total the Finnish metaverse ecosystem is estimated to have in total 250+ companies.
